With summer right around the corner, it’s an exciting time for many 4WD and camping enthusiasts to get outdoors and fully embrace all that British Columbia’s backyard has to offer.

The arrival of summer also means we're quickly approaching the annual BC Overland Rally, with 2017’s rendition taking place at the beautiful Sasquatch Mountain Resort in Hemlock Valley.

Between the days of June 22-25, campers can enjoy a “fun filled, family friendly weekend” packed with excitement including: 4x4 trail rides, presentations, training, wine tasting, ladies-only classes, free happy hours, kids’ activities and the latest gear from top vendors.

Classes and seminars include travel photography, driving across North and South America, vehicle repairs, getting unstuck, advanced 4WD techniques, winching, practical first-aid, trail cooking, navigation, border crossings, rally-driving, and more. Presenters include Camel Trophy driver Jim West, Baja 1000 racer Emily Miller, the couple behind Desk-to-Glory, and many other excellent presenters from around Western Canada and the USA.

Everything is included (except your food) in the low price of $95 per person, or $180 for a whole family. This includes 3 nights camping, classes, trail rides, presentations, happy hours, wine-tasting, gear-demos, sampling the cooking classes, the kids’ survival classes, etc.

It is a camp-out so bring your own food. There will be a food truck on hand however, and the local air cadets will be out selling muffins and Timmy’s coffee each morning. Entry also includes the nightly campfire and raffle, where we will be giving away a ton of cool prizes, including a winch, a Roof Top Tent, a full set of Tires, and much more…
